Hat is a party word-guessing game for friends, families, and teams.
Pick teams, choose a category, set the timer. One player from the active team draws a word from the Hat and explains it to teammates without saying the word itself. When time runs out, the next team plays. After all words are used, you advance to round 2 (Mime — no talking), then round 3 (One Word — a single hint).
Q: Can I play offline?
Yes. After the first launch the app works fully offline.
Q: How do I add my own words?
Settings → Custom Packs → Create. Add words to the pack, then return to Settings and toggle the pack on to include it in the game.
Q: How do I report a bug or request a feature?
In-app: Settings → Support → type your message → Send. Your iOS version, device model, app version, and language are attached automatically — no need to include them.
Q: Why is the "Famous People" category empty / why don't I see a new category?
The app refreshes the word database in the background at launch. If a category is empty, kill the app and reopen it once; you should see a "Downloading…" banner briefly while words are refreshed.
Q: Can I export my custom pack to share with friends?
Custom Packs screen → tap a pack → tap the share icon. You get JSON text you can paste into the Import dialog on another device.
Q: Why is my custom pack not appearing in the game?
You must toggle it on in Settings → Custom Packs after creating it. Creating a pack does not auto-include it.
